The Presidential Palace in Cetinje was built in the late XIX century to the son of King Nikola, bears the name of Danilo and is the heir to the throne. Designing of the palace by the best architects of Italy and Montenegro. The palace was equipped with all the most advanced and fashionable for the time attributes: a tennis court and swimming pool. In 2006, the presidential palace has been completely restored with the support of the Norwegian government.
Today, the owner of the palace is the President of Montenegro, occupying the post since 2003, Filip Vujanovic. The Presidential Palace is a popular place for photos. The guards in red uniforms have become a real local landmark. Changing of the guard occurs every four hours. During the day you can easily catch a beautifully dressed guards at the entrance to the building and take pictures with them.
